The Himalayan 450 was hyped much before its launch and that hype was not for vain, Royal Enfield has delivered a very good machine. This is going to be a trend setter in India. Till few years back Indians used their bike only for their commuting needs unlike USA and other western countries where bikes are a thing of recreation and enjoyment but now Indians are also showing interest to travel for recreation on their two wheelers.
This bike has an all new 452cc liquid cooled engine. This is first liquid cooler engine from Royal Enfield stable. This bike also has throttle by wire system which is also unique in RE lineup. This produces almost double the power of earlier Himalayan.
Royal Enfield has announced the introductory ex showroom prices for all the variants of Himalayan 450 and these prices are valid till 31st December 2023. After that there will be an update and you can expect prices to go up by almost INR 20000. So if you are planning to buy this bike this is the best time. You can click HERE to book one for you.
Its variants are divided into four categories according to its colors
There are very few bikes which compete to Himalayan 450 at this price range. Actually there are only two bikes which qualifies to be a competitor, those are Triumph Scrambler 400x and KTM Adventure 390. While KTM has its own fan following, Triumph is rather new in this market. You can watch the comparison video of these bikes HERE

The steel twin-spar frame is stronger, stiffer and narrower between the legs for improved comfort while riding in a standing position. Better handling, better stability and better balance.
Ride-by-wire with four riding modes so you can tune the response to suit the terrain and your mood, while in the background the bike delivers smooth fuelling and better fuel economy.
Engines and water don’t mix. But adventure and river crossings go hand-in-hand so we developed the Himalayan with a high up air intake under the tank to keep you rolling when the rivers are running high.
Nobody wants to stop riding because they’re saddle sore. So the new Himalayan features an adjustable two-piece seat to keep both rider (825 mm) and pillion (845 mm) comfortable, along with an optional low seat (805 mm) to keep your feet on the ground at any altitude.
Like the high-altitude Sherpa that inspired it, this engine has the torque to pull you out of a sandy hollow at 5,000 meters above sea level while being able to enjoy the 5 day trip back home afterward
Quality suspension lets you keep the bike on the line you’ve chosen over the roughest terrain and that’s exactly what you get from the inverted Showa cartridge fork.
